My sister mentioned in a comment perhaps linking pictures from the Quilt Market of various creative booths. So, here goes...
First up -- the crowd of women before the doors opening at Quilt Market. Do you see the excitement in their eyes?? On their faces?? These are women who are about to see NEW FABRIC!!
Then of course, you never know what might happen when two women see the same fabric and start a fight....
First up, the Booth that one Most Creative at Quilt Market -- Jenean Morrison. Check out all the items she has adorned with her line of fabric -- INCREDIBLE!
Isn't this woman creative??? I mean I just want to sit on all those pouffes and enjoy the ambience!
Next up, Anna Griffin -- she designs invitations, cards, stationery, as well as a fabulous new fabric line of bright, bold, tropical fabrics that I NEED to have.
The next woman is Joanna Figueroa. She is the designer for Fig Tree Quilts. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her fabric. By the by, this is the woman who graciously responded to my e-mail after I gushed how I loved her and her work, and did she have a position open at her studio.
The next picture is for my mother -- check out the quilted jacket, Momma!
One major "Fabric World" Star is Amy Butler. She lives, surprisingly in Ohio and is about as successful as they come. She has bright, bold fabrics and REALLY AWESOME patterns!
Momma - does this remind you of the booth at Great Day in the Country???
Here is a photo of an incredible quilt that was on display at the show...
Blackbird Designs booth is the next photo up. They won a ribbon for their booth as well. Look how elegant those quilts are!
As a general rule, I can't imagine wearing a quilted ballgown. But, check this out!
Well, more photos tomorrow. All this creativity just is making my head spin, and I need to get some of my ideas out into fabric!
Holy. Cow. That is a LOT of printed fabric. Fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun!!!! I love the quilted ballgown and shrug....quite lovely! And the guitar? The bicycle? FUN and FUNCTIONAL, meet CRAZY FABRIC LADY!!
